Easter Monday is just one day after Easter Sunday and three days after Good Friday. This day is part of the Easter period celebrating Jesus Christ's death and resurrection.
Celebration\ Observance
Easter Monday is a day of rest for many and a time to spend with family and friends. This is a national holiday with government offices and most businesses closed.
History
Easter Monday has historically been considered unlucky and sometimes referred to as Black Monday. The source of this is unknown but could be attributed to military losses that occurred on this Monday and or children having to go back to school after Easter weekend.
